Club Calendar

Here are FLAOA's temporary, incomplete calendars for 2009 -- temporary and incomplete because they're always changing.  Please note that open practice* on Sundays is now scheduled from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. (instead of 2:00).

August 2009

September 2009

October 2009

  * Open Practice continues to be FREE for all FLAOA members.  Non-members must pay $7 each day they attend, AND must first complete and turn in a 2009 Waiver, found here.  (And everybody who participates needs to sign in, in the Open Practice book.)  It goes without saying -- but we'll say it anyway -- participants need to share the space and play nicely!

Fall 2009 Classes

FLAOA's Fall 2009 classes are once again back at the Cornell Livestock Pavilion.  Registration and the Intro Session for all classes will be held on Thursday evening, September 3rd, at the Pavilion.  Registration is from 6:00p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  The Intro Session (geared mainly for those enrolling in their first obedience class, will be held from 6:30-8:30.  (And, yes, it does indeed take that long, so please plan accordingly.  For those enrolling in an agility class, the agility instructor will be on hand to answer questions and hand out an info sheet pertaining to  agility classes.  For further info, see our Agility page and/or our Obedience/Rally page.

For a fun time with your dog, come out and join a class with us!

Summer 2009 Classes

FLAOA's Summer 2009 classes will once again be held outside at Sagedust Square throughout the months of July and August.  Registration and the Intro Session for all classes will be held on Wednesday, July 1st, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.  (And, yes, it does indeed take that long, so please plan accordingly!)  This session is held WITHOUT dogs, so please leave Fido home on July 1st.  For further info on these classes, please click here.

Our agility classes will be suspended until fall, when we're back in the Cornell Livestock Pavilion.

Open Practice for the summer will be held at Sagedust Square (directions to the Square can be found here), on Sundays, 3:00pm - 5:00 pm.  Sunday open practice sessions continue to be FREE for FLAOA members; non-members are charged $7.00/Sunday.  There is a storage container under the green picnic table in the picnic area which contains a sign-in booklet and 2009 waiver forms.  Anyone using the area for open practice or during "off hours" must sign-in and must have a waiver on file.

Additionally, the yard may be used to practice during hours when there are not regularly-scheduled classes or open practice.  This service is FREE to those enrolled in a summer class; $7/day to those not enrolled in summer classes.  As usual, if one has not yet taken an agility class, they may not use the agility equipment; they may, however, use the yard to practice other things or simply give their dogs a good off-lead play time.
